Since 2017, when the action of "respecting and abiding by the law and building dreams together" to serve migrant workers' public welfare legal services was launched, Lawyer Zhang Hongwei, appointed by Hainan Ruilai law firm, has actively taken the lead in carrying out various public welfare legal services activities, such as publicity and education on the rule of law, labor legal supervision, labor dispute mediation, and handling of employee legal aid cases.
Hainan Ruilai law firm has set up a volunteer lawyer group for migrant workers' public legal services. The lawyers of the volunteer lawyer group are on duty throughout the 12351 hotline of Hainan Federation of trade unions to receive letters and visits from migrant workers and provide legal assistance to migrant workers. Lawyer Zhang Hongwei personally undertook more than 70 labor dispute cases of migrant workers, and recovered nearly 2million yuan of economic losses for migrant workers. In the case of Mr. Huang and other 12 people against a Hainan limited liability company, Lawyer Zhang Hongwei used litigation skills to support the economic compensation problem that 12 employees of the restructured enterprise could not be solved for a long time, and claimed more than 600000 yuan for the employees.
Go deep into the grass-roots level to carry out lectures on labor law, and send legal knowledge to the grass-roots level and migrant workers. During the event, Lawyer Zhang Hongwei led a volunteer lawyer group to grassroots trade unions and construction enterprises where migrant workers are concentrated to publicize labor law knowledge to migrant workers. Over the past three years, Lawyer Zhang Hongwei has participated in 16 outdoor legal publicity activities for migrant workers, and has been to Hainan education, science, culture, health, post and Telecommunications Union, Hainan finance, trade, tourism and tobacco Union, Haikou Federation of trade unions, Hainan Jinlu group trade union, Hainan Nanxin farm trade union, Hainan Xida farm trade union and other units to teach 36 labor law courses voluntarily, and received 347 legal consultations from migrant workers.
In December 2015, Lawyer Zhang Hongwei was jointly awarded the title of "national outstanding lawyer for safeguarding the rights and interests of employees" by the Ministry of justice, the all China Federation of trade unions and the all China Lawyers Association.
